Crypt fiends are the best tier 1 units hands down. Knight the most useful melee unit damage/tankiness. Shaman the best buff caster Destroyer hands down the best anti magic unit. Bats can wipe out a powerful airbone army and destroy mains like nothing. Claws will heal/buff all units and fight melee.
